I used to see Teriyaki shops everywhere but nowadays it seems hard to come by... maybe some closed? Some open elsewhere?
However, my sister and I were waddling around the area to get my driver's license updated and for the sis' license tabs and we happened upon this little shop.
For some reason, "Happy at the Bay" sounds oddly familiar and it is even #2 not #1... which means there is a likely chance that I may have been to #1.
I kept it simple for my lunch because I was craving the original Teriyaki Chicken! I ordered their Lunch Special $6.99 for the chicken. That was definitely filling for a small person like me. Usually Lunch specials are cheaper and less in portion than a full entree. But then again, I was somewhat disappointed with my sister's. She ordered the regular size entree of Chicken Teriyaki and Tonkatsu combo. Having worked at other Teriyaki shops before, this was quite small in proportion. I know the saying where "Tonkatsu is more expensive so we have to portion it in terms of ratio" etc.
Anyways, their teriyaki does not stand out far from every other teriyaki shop but good to know I have marked one more Teriyaki shop Dine-In experience off my list C: -

I ordered the tofu veggie dish with extra tofu. I had a hard time finding the tofu....I'm scared to see how much tofu you get without the extra charge for additional....I had a few zucchini slices after digging and a few pieces of broccoli.... pretty much my dish was cabbage...I won't go back there for any veggie dishes again....on the good note for a 3 star rating my husband's chicken fried rice was great! Lots of chicken, great taste. Go for teriyaki and the fried rice, stay away if you like veggies.

Super yummy and cheap! Went here right after a haircut and was satisfied. My chicken and yakisoba combo was about $11 and my boyfriend's chicken and beef combo was about $16. Super awesome deal!! Reminds me of the good teriyaki places back home in California

Foods food! Try the veggie stir fry :) I order it on door dash and it always comes hot. The egg flour soup is good too

Nothing super crazy great about this place other than the fact that they're very friendly, very fast and very close to where I live!
Other than that, food tastes just like any other place you go to get teriyaki. They do serve steamed cabbage instead of salad though, which is a nice change.
